We are a member of the Ronald Loeb Center for Alzheimer’s disease , the Departments of Neuroscience, Genetics and Genomic Sciences, and Neurology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. We are part of the Icahn Institute for Data Science and Genomic Technology , the Friedman Brain Institute (FBI) , the Precision Immunology Institute (PrIISM) , and the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC).

About Us

The Raj Laboratory is dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

To achieve these goals, we leverage the fields of genomics, computational biology, neuroscience, and immunology coupled with molecular biology to obtain a systems level understanding of disease. We are a hybrid lab with a strong computational biology that is mainly focused on performing data analyses and an experimental side, where wet-lab experiments are performed.
